In his book, Holding the Rope: How the Local Church Can Care for Its Sent Ones, Ryan Martin documents the tale of William Carrey and Andrew Fuller at the founding of the Baptist Missionary Society. William Carrey told the gentlemen who were gathered of the figurative gold mine of souls in India's harvest fields. He famously said, “I will venture to go down, but you must hold the ropes.”
Andrew Fuller was one of the men who heard Carrey's message and labored in prayer and advocacy for the rest of his life. These are the types of people I seek to support me and my ministry. Those who wake in the middle of the night to pray because the Holy Spirit calls them to do so. I need the long hours of prayer and financial support to accomplish everything the Lord has called me to do.
If you would like to better understand what that calling is or would like to contact me personally, I would love to tell you my story and what the Lord has done. I also have a monthly newsletter with ministry updates to inform you regularly of what the Lord is doing. Please consider a small monthly donation to support what the Lord is doing. Thank you and Maranatha!
